Sophia Goes for a Walk

Today had the nicest weather we've seen in a long time. So, we decided to take Sophia on a walk to see the sites around Fort Adams.

Our first stop was to visit our friends Dave and Jana. They are the proud parents of a two-day old son, Thomas.

Rebecca and Batman (Paul) also saying hello to Sophia.

We then took a stroll along the water. Here are a couple of pictures with Newport Harbor in the background.

The next picture shows the actual Fort Adams building. We chose the angle of the picture with the intent of showing the tremendous size of the fort.

This photo gives a view of the Newport Bridge in the background.

Here is Brenda and Sophia in front of the Newport Museum of Yachting -- another interesting facility in the Fort Adams area.

Sophia enjoyed her walk and is happy to be home.

A Day in Sophia's Life

I thought everyone might like to see how I spend my days, so here it goes....

I usually wake up between 6 or 7 o'clock. Mommy or Daddy usually lay me in their bed for a little while before I get up to eat breakfast. (I don't think Mommy and Daddy like to get up as early as I do.)

Me and mommy sleeping in.

After I get out of bed for good, I eat breakfast. Breakfast is my biggest meal of the day. I usually like to eat rice cereal, fruit and a bottle of formula for breakfast.

Here I am eating some applesauce....

After I eat my breakfast, I usually take a bath (sometimes I get a little breakfast on my face, so its a good time to clean up.)

I really enjoy bath time...I always play with my yellow and blue duckies while Mommy washes me up.

After taking a bath, I usually play for awhile in my exer-saucer. I also watch cartoons, my favorite cartoon is "I Spy."

After a bath, playing and watching cartoons, I'm pooped and ready for a nap.

After my nap, Mommy and I do all kinds of things. We go shopping, go to aerobics (Mommy does aerobics, I just watch), go to music class or meet our friends at play group. We always stay busy until Daddy comes home from work.

I like when Daddy gets home from work!

Trip to Providence Place

John, Brenda and Sophia went to Providence Place today to do a little browsing and meet up with Beth for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. This will be our last visit with Beth for awhile because she is moving out to Bangor, WA to meet up with Luis. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Sophia all dressed and ready to head out in the cold...she is excited to see Auntie Beth.

There's Auntie Beth...

Sophia made some new friends while we were waiting for our table:

I'm ready to go home, where did Mommy and Auntie Beth go?

Surprise, surprise they are in the baby section looking at new diaper bags!

Bye Auntie Beth, we'll see you in July!

St Patrick's Day Parade

The family met up with some friends at Brian & Kerri's house today for breakfast and then headed out to see the Newport St. Patrick's Day parade (http://www.newportirish.com/). The parade was very good -- Sophia really seemed to enjoy it. Unfortunately it was a pretty cold day, so we didn't stay to see the end.

Here is Sophia eating her breakfast before the parade:

How did Mike Combs' old Monte Carlo make it to Newport?

Back home after a big day!

Sophia Playtime

Here are a couple of pictures of Sophia playing.

(It may be time for Sophia to get her first haircut!)

Here is a picture of Sophia doing her "balancing act" trick with Daddy.

(Sophia plans to join the circus when she grows up.)

Joe Dirt Spencer

Brenda and I were afraid that our other "child", Joe Dirt, was getting a little jealous because Sophia was being featured on this blog. So, out of respect for our cat, we will post some of our better pictures of Joe.

Birthday Party in Brockton

The family travelled to Brockton today to celebrate Nana Longo's and Rich's birthday party. Here are some pictures from the day.
