Winter Fun

Greetings everyone! We hope your new year is off to a great start. January has been a fun month. We realized we had some pictures from random events over the last few weeks and thought we would post them.

Sophia gets bundled up to brave the cold...

and then takes a rest outside.

Daddy joins her. Apparently it is not that cold.

Sophia celebrates Daddy's birthday with cousins Michael and Vincent (they got their own private table).

The kids decided to take a rest in Sophia's crib.

Happy Birthday John! Unfortunately, John's Steelers did not make it to the AFC Championship.

Sophia sings Happy Birthday to Daddy.

Papa tries on John's new jacket (and appears to be allergic to it).

A great gathering with our Newport friends for Lobster Night at the Newport Officers' Club. (Kerri, Tasha, Sophia, Charlie and Maeve, Brenda, Dave, Thomas, Stephen-not shown, Paul, Jana, Rebecca, Genevieve, Brian, Rex and River).

Sophia enjoys her lasagna so much that she wants to show her gratitude to Mommy.

"May I have some more lasagna, and maybe a napkin?"

New Years Eve & more...

After our fun trip to Ohio, we enjoyed a quiet New Year's Eve and New Year's Day back at the old homestead. This blog entry contains pictures of the Spencers ringing in the new year and other random times of jolliness.

Sophia, Joe, and Brenda dig into their traditional New Year's Eve Chinese food dinner.

Sophia chomps on Egg Foo Young.

The highlight of our New Year's Eve was assembling Sophia's new kitchen...a present from Santa.

Joe and Brenda cannot quite make it to midnight.

Sophia likes her blackberries.

Our little girl tries to make her escape, with her Teddy and all of her baby dolls.

Here is a hug for Thomas...a thank you for coming to visit.
John and Thomas show off their matching outfits (they claim it was totally unplanned).

Jana and Thomas make a fun visit to Connecticut for the day.

Sophia stole Jana's Navy hat and it appears she is not giving it back anytime soon.

Sophia models her "Grandma's Baby Girl" shirt.

And lastly, Sophia helps Mommy unload the dishwasher.

Christmas in Ohio

Our Christmas season continued as we jumped in the car and headed west to Ohio. We got to see family and lots of friends.

Reagan and Reece show off their Christmas outfits while we visit the Yearys.

Sophia decides to take a nap with Reece (or possibly Reagan).

Lizzy and Cayden help Mommy (Jennifer) celebrate her brithday.

Despite all the toys of Christmas, the girls find joy in random household objects.

Did you think all three kids would fit in the bin?

The Spencer clan is together to celebrate Christmas Eve (Shelly, Harlon, Robin, Lizzy, Jennifer, Cayden, Brenda, Sophia and Mom Spencer).
Sophia tries her hand at photography.

Harlon is doing his husbandly duties in the kitchen.

Guess how many tries it took to get this picture?

While visiting the Knoths, Emily and Ben play Ring around the Rosie with Sophia.

Sophia puts on a fashion show while awaiting her dinner at Red Lobster.

Here she is, trying to make friends with the lobsters...again.

Mom's partner in crime, Judy, visits for a bit.

Ben, Emily and Sophia pose in front of the Christmas tree.
And to all a good night!!!!! We hope you had a blessed and merry Christmas.
