My Winter Vacation (an essay)

Though the days are dreary during a New England Winter, we found a way to pass the time and enjoy ourselves. Some involved playing "dress up." However, most of the good times simply involved great friends and family.

"Oh Mother, why would you do this to me?"

A trip to the Mystic Aquarium with Uncle Rich, Michael and Vincent

"Happy Birthday RJ!"

"Partying with Auntie Cherie wipes me out."

Bring on the cake.

Fun with Papa!

At the end of February, the Submarine Officers' Spouses' Association put on its annual charity auction to benefit the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation. Brenda and John had lots of fun with the Philadelphia Wardroom and "won" a whole bunch of good stuff!

The USS Philadelphia's donation for the auction.

The ladies prepare the venue for the big event.

John and Brenda dress in accordance with the theme...Classic Hollywood.

The boat that parties together, stays together.

And as the winter wore on, an unseasonably warm day dawned and we took full advantage.

Gianni enjoys a ride on the swing.

"Weeeeeee!"

As March draws to a close, so does the winter rec session. Daddy was able to attend Sophia's last music class.

"When can I participate in class?"

"Watch this Daddy."

Jump, jump, jump!

"I wonder what this tastes like."

Ta-da!

Sophia tries a bit of marching.

Sophia sings, "I can't fight this feeling"...everybody loves REO Speedwagon.
