Mimi travelled from Ohio to visit us...unfortunately for her, it was the most oppressively hot weather we had all summer. But she was a trooper! First, we visited the beautiful Botanical Garden in Norfolk.
Mimi, Sophia, and Gianni wait for the tram (or as Gianni calls it, the "choo-choo").
Next, we take to the water for a wet and wild tour of the Garden.
Well, no one really wants to smile in 103 degree weather.
OK, we will smile if there is a bridge involved.
Now for the good stuff...

I cannot tell if the kids are enjoying themselves or not.

We hit the sand at Virginia Beach.
But it rained, so we ended up in the pool!
Then it stopped raining, and it was time for the beach again.
